About Us
The Flex Youth & Community Group’s purpose is to support and facilitate provisions for young people from ethnically diverse and socially deprived backgrounds. Although our community group is targeted at supporting minority groups we also focus on supporting people from deprived backgrounds and those a risk of engaging in antisocial behaviour and violence. Our group is targeted to tackling areas of need and our projects are tailored to providing a hook for young people to access ‘wholesome’ actives whilst receiving mentoring, stability, and family. Our targeted age group is currently 4 - 19 years (up to 25 with additional SEND needs).

Our goal is to empower them to not only believe in themselves, but to believe in their community!
THE ORGANIZATION’S MISSION
At The Flex Youth & Community Group, we care about what we do and hope to develop cohesion and strong community relationships. By delivering programmes that young people can take ownership of and nurturing and developing their skills through social enrichment activities, we are making a huge difference in the lives of the young people we work alongside. We strive to inspire action and support our community’s young people with purposeful programmes and devoted mentors.

The group was founded following the realisation of the needs young people. The Flex Youth & Community Group has become an integral part of the Basildon community. At The Flex Youth & Community Group, we aim to provide unique, life-changing experiences to all the community’s young minds. We believe in and practice the true act of integrity and know how important it is to demonstrate a sincere concern for others. We hold compassion, generosity, and kindness close to our hearts, and go the extra mile to provide our youth with a wide range of opportunities that will allow them to reach their potential.
